Kind of funny that spelhuis has both the English and Dutch versions in stock, because the components are language independent. Nevertheless, I'll write this in English in case you're not a native Dutch speaker. Little factory can be summarized in two words: "trading up". On a turn, you can eg "trade" wood for charcoal. Or turn sheep or cow into meat. Or cotton into wool. All depends on what becomes available in the central river of cards. There are four of those, all the way from "basic" to buildings, which are worth points and an extra resource conversion option. The conversion chart can seem daunting at first, but what can be turned into what is mentioned on the cards and pretty intuitive (eg: you can get milk for free if you show a cow). And then there's always the option of straight up buying a card by paying the value of the cards, but trading - when available - is usually the better choice. The real trick is in being more efficient than your opponents. You might race each other for resources or not, but in the end, the first person to ten points wins. Little factory is not as hard as it might sound, but despite the graphics it's not a kid's game. This game is like the child of Splendor and Res arcana, and has a complexity that's roughly between both. If you love those, you can't go wrong with this one. Oh, and the solo variant that's included is pretty fun as well.
