Journeys in Middle-Earth Expansions: Insert (Folded Space)

Folded Space is a brand of inserts/organizers that make it easier to store and prepare your game. Folded Space's inserts are very functional, very lightweight, very sturdy, very affordable and also fun to build! Folded Space's inserts come in a flat-pack of Evacore plates. Assembling the insert is quick and easy. You need ordinary PVA glue to reinforce the insert. Detailed instructions are included in the package.

This insert is designed for the base game box with external box dimensions of 29.7 x 29.7 x 13.4 cm.

insert compatible with Journeys in Middle Earth®, and designed to add two trays to our other insert FS-JME for storage of the Spreading War® expansion. The design offers both efficient storage and enhanced game play. The trays can be used during play and greatly facilitate set-up and clean-up. 

The insert consists of two new trays that take the place of the stacks of card tiles in the FS-JME layout. One FS-JME+ tray stores the siege engines and Mûmakil miniatures, as well as many of the new cards. As always, there is room to pack all the cards. The other drawer is for some of the remaining miniatures from the expansion.

Although the FS-JME+ trays contain most of the components of the Spreading War® expansion, there are some items to be added to the FS-JME trays:
- One hero mini is added to Tray 8a or 8b
- Reinforced, difficult ground, trench/fence & chest/barricade tokens go into Tray 6a and 7a
- The orc task master, wight & shadowmen minis are now stored together in Tray 3a
- The three new wargruiters go into tray 3b

FS-JME Tray 2 now stores the Balrog, warg and all spider minis together.
When packing the box, place the FS-JME bottom layer of trays in the box as before, but add the second FS-JME+ tray of minis as shown. Again as before, separate each layer using the square battle map tiles. Add the first FS-JME+ tray to the second layer of FS-JME between the two large map trays. Then add the top layer FS-JME as normal. Finally, add the rulebooks on top of everything. Once fully filled, the box is filled to the top so that the game can be stored vertically. Because the two FS-JME+ trays replace the card tiles in the FS-JME layout, these tiles should be stored outside the main box. We recommend storing them in one of the expansion boxes in the main box, as shown here.
