Fiction is an engaging Wordle-inspired word game by Allplay, where players collaborate to guess a secret word chosen by the "Lie-brarian" from a classic literary work. The Lie-brarian provides clues about the presence and position of letters in the word, but beware: each clue contains exactly one lie! This adds a challenging layer of deception, requiring players to sharpen their deductive skills to uncover the correct word within ten attempts.
How is the game played?
- Setup: Choose a card from one of eight classic books. These cards feature excerpts with highlighted five-letter words. The Lie-brarian secretly selects one of the highlighted words as the secret word.
- Gameplay: The team has ten attempts to guess the secret word. After each guess, the Lie-brarian provides feedback on the correctness of the letters and their positions, with the caveat that each clue contains one lie.
- Objective: The team wins if they guess the secret word within ten attempts; otherwise, the Lie-brarian wins.
