Caracas is a tile-laying game published by Cwali. Players take on the role of explorers charting the South American landscapes, inspired by Alexander von Humboldt's 1799 expeditions. The objective is to create the most valuable expedition map by strategically placing land tiles and discovering unique areas such as jaguar territories, anteater habitats, and rivers with electric eels.
During the game, players take turns placing a land tile under their starting tile or adjacent to an already placed tile, considering the symbols on their starting tile. After placing, they draw a new tile from the market based on the symbol corresponding to the column where they placed. This mechanism ensures that players always know which tile they will place in the next round, promoting strategic planning and anticipation.
