War of the Ring: The Fate of Erebor

The epic board game inspired by the most famous battle from The Hobbit, The Battle of Five Armies, is once again available with a revised edition.

The Battle of Five Armies recreates the fierce battle witnessed by Bilbo Baggins at the end of his quest for the Lonely Mountain, in "The Hobbit," J.R.R. Tolkien's world-famous masterpiece. It is a completely self-contained game in the "War of the Ring" line, created by the same design team - Roberto Di Meglio, Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello. It is based on the mechanism first used in that game, by combining action dice and event cards. The system is further improved by the addition of the "Fate Track" mechanism, which handles the arrival of allies and the activation of special events. All the major characters in the battle - Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, Dain, the Elf King, Bard, Beorn, Bolg - feature powerful special abilities and unique visuals.

Long out of stock, The Battle of Five Armies is now being reprinted in a revised edition that includes the enhancements to rules and maps first presented in the Collectors' Edition.
