When folding a sheet of paper, you perform dozens of coordinated movements: you hold the paper, start folding it at a certain point, press the folding edge, ... The sooner the child masters these skills, the more fun he will have cutting and pasting, building paper models and origami, and the neater he will be working with any material.

Fold-a-pic helps develop spatial thinking
The parts of the picture are placed on the different sides of the sheet, and at first it will not be so easy for a child to even imagine what a simple fold can produce. Gradually, the tasks become more complex, and in the more advanced workbooks, even the adults cannot always figure out a way to fold the piece of paper so that an image appears.

How does Fold-a-pic work?
In the first book (ages 3 to 4), the children only need to make one fold. To make the task easier, the workbooks have a special dotted line on both sides of the sheet: it is marked with white and colored lines. When the child starts folding the sheet of paper, a hint appears on the other side: first the white line which means "the dotted line is very close", and then the colored one - "the dotted line is almost here". After the child has mastered the first picture, he will enjoy folding the rest of the pages by himself.

And the other workbooks?
The workbooks consist of a whole series that grows with the child's age.
In the second workbook (ages 4-5), each sheet of paper has two folds, and the children will have to learn to fit the pieces together exactly so that the picture appears. The pictures have a special design: their wide outline and extended ends help to fold the picture, even if the child has missed the fold lines a little.
In the third workbook (ages 5-6), making a picture requires three folds. Here the children must fold exactly along the dotted line AND solve a logic problem about the correct order of folding.
In the fourth workbook (ages 7-8), children face real brainteasers, where they must decide on the order and direction of up to five folds needed for the pieces to come together.
