District Noir

The two players are powerful leaders of the city's largest criminal organizations and vie for territories and support, shunning no means to expand their influence. 

In the center of Hoboken lies District Noir. Control of that district makes all the difference in seizing power over the entire city. The rules of this tactical card game for 2 players are very simple. Both players receive 5 cards. Whose turn it is, either place a hand card in the row or take the last 5 cards placed in the row. The other player always has the same choice. But, taking 5 cards is allowed only once per round. So, after that, the player must always place a card in the row. At the end, players get points if they have the most cards of a certain type and for complete sets of different types. Furthermore, there are cards that immediately give plus or minus points. If a player manages to gain possession of all 3 strategic locations, he wins immediately. Who seizes power in the city? 

District Noir is a very accessible card game for 2 players. The simple game rules get players playing quickly, but they will soon find out that the choices they have to make during the game are a lot less easy!
