Viscounts of the Western Kingdom is set in a time when the king's power is waning. The once fearless king prefers peace to prosperity. He offers his enemies gold and land in exchange for laying down their weapons. But this peace is fragile. As poverty continues to grow, many people lose faith in the king and they turn away from the monarchy. Everyone is dependent on the king and the future is uncertain. The viscounts must be wise and decisive. They must appear loyal, but the favor of the people has the highest priority in case there is a change of power.Viscounts of the Western Kingdom is a worker-placement game where you try to increase your influence in the different areas of the kingdom with your journey through the kingdom. Earn victory points by constructing buildings and writing manuscripts.
