Black Box is a modern classic among board games. It was first published in several countries about forty years ago. In Germany, the first edition appeared in 1978, oddly enough with two different names. It was first called LOGO, later ORDO, although it has been in the program of its publisher "Parker" for only two years.
In the game Black Box, the task of one player (the scientist) is to locate a mysterious molecule (locked in a black box). This is done by shooting rays into the Black Box. The way the molecule affects the rays as they make their way through the Black Box gives the player hints as to where to find the molecule.
Black Box+ is a deluxe expanded edition of Black Box that includes both the original square grid game and a challenging new hexagonal version. With the release of Black Box+, Franjos is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a game publisher, and 2007 also happens to be the 30th anniversary of Black Box.
