Animal Poker is played in several rounds, allowing players to decide how long a game lasts. First, players sit down at the table according to their roles. The intern deals the cards and the Animal Inc. superiors trade their bad cards for the subordinates' good cards. The boss is the starting player and may play one or more cards of the same number. Subsequent players must choose whether to play the same number of cards, cards of the same number, or cards of a higher number. Players may also pass at any time during their turn. It is the trainee's job to clean up all the cards at the end of the round. The winner is the player who has the highest position in the last round.
